The vision of the 5 Cities Rescue Dream Center is to build a facility to serve the local area churches as a place to send those with rescue needs.
Phase one began in May 2008 when we took possesion of approximately one acre of land with an existing five bedroom house located on the property.
It is situated on the corner of 21st Street and Nipomo in Oceano, CA. While the parcel is currently in escrow, plans developed by Cal Poly, San Luis Obipso as an engineering project, call for construction of several buildings and facilities to serve the homeless, including families, as well as other people of need in the the Five Cities area.
Our plans include overnight homeless rescue, men's discipleship with rehab...women's overnight homeless (single & with children), women's discipleship & rehab & job training for men & women.
Currently there have been several churches that are endorsing us...5 Cities Vineyard, New Hope Church, Agape Christian Fellowship, Shouts Of Grace, Living Waters Assembly of God, Central Coast Christian Center, & the Hebraic Life Ministries. We also have an architect on board, a prison ministry team, three counselors and a Nurse staff.
Please understand, our ministries main objective is to serve all the local area churches and some San Luis Obispo needs for a place to send those with rescue needs.
Our planning is derived from several established missions such as Santa Barbara, Ventura County, Elm Street Mission in Santa Cruz, Fresno Rescue Missions & the large LA Dream Center, all of which are are having great success. These aforementioned missions operate fluidly by the combined effort of all their local churches, businesses & community people (volunteers) etc. and county resources.
