Just As I Am Christian Ministries
Just As I Am Christian Ministries is an interfaith effort to provide the entire church community a place to send those with a need. We
are a non-denominational independent work of faith providing spiritual and physical noruishment to the needy
Our Primary focus is on the presentation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and only Jesus Christ, through service and rehabilitaion programs,
to change lives by giving men and women a purpose and direction.
Thrift Store
The Oceano Trading Post is our Thrift Store. It currently helps support our various ministries as
well as being a resource to the community for affordable clothing and household goods.
As the Starting point of Just As I Christian Ministries, the Trading Post has served many purposes such as Chapel, Discipleship Center,
and currently is being used as a Prayer Room as well as a thrift store.
The Trading Post has become a place of respite for people in need of not only material supply but also spiritual and small food pantry.
Women With Children Home
Pastor Galen Thornton felt the Lord’s direction in renting a house to give a home to two homeless women he knew.
The first house opened in Grover Beach in October 2006 and was filled to its capacity of four by December with Virginia Atkin in place as house mother.
In March 2007 the Oceano house opened housing four women and two children.
Rescue Mission
Hard times are a reality even on the beautiful central coast. The Rescue Mission is a place of comfort for those who do not have
a place to lay their head at night or even the assurance of the next meal
The vision of Just As I Am Christian Ministries is to build a "Jesus Saves" Gospel Rescue Mission ( Dream Center)
on property that has been offered to us in Southern San Luis Obispo County in Oceano. These buildings will be built to accomodate
people with rescue needs from just homeless to recovery programs for men & women & some families.
